In Titus chapter 3:1, we are told to submit to the government and its officers. This can be a struggle at times, but I believe Paul was trying to tell us that our first allegiance is to our Lord, but we are to honor and respect the governmental laws and those who carry out those laws. During the last election when the results were announced and even today, I have heard Christians talk badly about the candidates and our government. As Christians we need to respect those in our government. We need to do as Paul instructs in Titus.
